Food Suppliers

We to source our food locally, to offer you the freshest, tastiest food. Our meat is all from Thornhill's the butcher in the High Street (we walk to collect it, so no carbon emissions there)! Our fruit and veg is from Steve on the market, and our delicious potatoes come from the Legge family at Further Fen Farm in Southery.

Food Pricing

We would like to apologise for any inconsistency with pricing. Upon opening, some of the menu items were underpriced, due to Liz's lack of pricing experience! (sorry!) Since then, we have a much more realsitic view of our costs. Also there have been increases in the cost in food and that has resulted in a slight change to prices from our original printed menus, but no more than 20p here and there, and 50p on salad boxes. (but the boxes are bigger!)

We compare our prices to that of competitiors and still feel that we offer value for money and a good alternative to the mass-producing competitors! If you have an opinion about pricing, or any other issue, please email liz@downhamlunchbox.co.uk
